So far only on iPhone

Earlier this week, a pilot of the Ministry of Health's green passport 'widget began, and it is now available for download and registration, currently at the iPhone App Store and the Ministry of Health website.

Later, the option will also open to Android users.

At the same time, Intelligence Minister Eli Cohen told Israel Today that "the idea is that the green passport can be used as early as February 1, and the intention is to allow Eilat and the Dead Sea to first receive tourists with green passports."

The Ministry of Intelligence has prepared a plan according to which education, workplaces, street shops, public transport and houses of worship will be allowed to operate, even without the green passport.

"The intention is that the opening of cultural and leisure places, which are a luxury, will only be allowed for those with a transit mark. These are cultural events, sports events, conferences, events and museums - which will be allowed to host green passport holders," says Cohen.

In his estimation, by mid-February most of these places will already be able to operate.

The Ministry of Intelligence is still examining with the relevant authorities the possibility of activating the green passport in restaurants, malls, hotels, gyms and swimming pools.

The "green passport" entitles the vaccinated population to two doses, recovering from corona and those with negative results who will enjoy eligibility for 72 hours.

For the first time, the option was opened to issue a certificate in the application - an option that did not exist in the pilot.
