Despite the complaints about congestion and even a slight sense of exhaustion, we are really happy with every new burger that opens - and this time we checked out the new "Comfort and a Half" • Daily Delivery
The "Comfort and a Half" pop-up burger

The days are days of isolation and closure.
Any cliché we now add about restaurateurs who reinvented themselves, pop-ups that appear like mushrooms after the rain and messengers who have become angels on bicycles - will be true of the new "Comfort and a Half" hamburger as well.
The old cafe, a favorite of the island and actors of the National Theater, has launched a new series of burgers under the name "300 Burger".
The dishes come out of the cafe's kitchen in deliveries and takeaways.
The brand name was chosen because of the relatively large weight of the patty in the dishes served - a hamburger weighing 300 grams, or a double burger portion of 240 grams.
We ordered a 300 gram hamburger without toppings, which came in "crispy Italian bread" with rocket, tomato, purple onion, pickle and spicy mayonnaise (NIS 78), and the 240 gram hamburger (two patties) with oven-roasted vegetables: tomato, onion and hot green pepper Whole, roasted vegetable spread, rocket and raw tahini (NIS 75).
In short: the two burgers were excellent.
really.
Not in a nutshell: the patty itself is tasty and uncompressed, the meat is juicy but not dripping with fat.
What does drip from it, is absorbed in the same Italian bread - a kind of soft ciabatta that wraps the patty itself in its entirety, and also makes it very comfortable to eat.
The roasted vegetable burger was a bit less convenient to eat because its bun is a bit smaller, and it is also made up of layers of two patties with the charred onion and the rest of the vegetables in between.
The dish got more juiciness thanks to the vegetables that add a smoky and pleasant and slightly spicy taste.
The tahini, which we feared might turn the whole story into a kind of kebab burger, is very delicate and almost unnoticeable.
The burgers came as meals with a tomato salad with onions and hot peppers (again, not hot, that's how peppers are in winter ...), French fries and a can of San Pellegrino / Freya / flavored.
The little salad was sour and suited the whole meal.
The chips came in insane quantities, and seemed to have been prepared in a home-rustic way.
It was quite crushed and lost some of its crispiness due to the steam and stormy weather that accompanied the shipment.
A few minutes in high heat in the oven helped him.
There were also three types of sauces that we did not so much recognize but were delicious, especially the spicy red!
The secret in our eyes lay in the bun, which is both delicious and just the right size (unlike, for example, the "dirty" burger, and forgive us a second - but in resuscitation, how much bread!).
Another not-so-marginal bonus at all is that even though the portions are quite large - the feeling is that you are actually eating real food, and not getting a junk-food feeling like you often feel after a hamburger.
Pop-up and that, but we'll be happy to stay.
