While the authorities are looking for a way to control the outbreak of coronavirus cases, one of the most important channels to avoid contagion is the use of the chinstrap, something that
often generates discussions.
Some of this happened in the City of Buenos Aires, although the response was reprehensible and extreme:
two women attacked
an agent of the City Police
with stones
who asked them to put on the chinstrap.
The incident occurred on Tuesday night in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Balvanera, on the corner of Hipólito Yrigoyen and La Rioja, when minutes before 9 p.m. an officer ran into Lorena L. (33) and Mónica A. (33) and
He asked them to put on their chinstrap to continue driving.
Thus was the policeman injured by the impact of the stone he received.
According to the police report, the response of the two women was aggression: first verbal and then physical, when they threw rubble at the policeman,
who received one of those stones in the face, cutting off his lip.
Meanwhile, the officer was referred to the Churruca Hospital where he was treated.
One of the defendants
was imprisoned
at the beginning of the last decade in a federal prison
for the crime of attempted armed robbery.
The sentence was due to the theft of some ten thousand pesos from a man
with whom he had had sexual relations in a hotel in the city center.
Something similar happened in Misiones during the first days of August.
There, a runner was arrested
after insulting police officers who had told him to put on his mask or they would write a report.
The man resisted, insulted the officers, and was eventually cut down by the officers.
Julio César M. was trotting with his chinstrap around his neck and with his mouth uncovered, when two policemen approached him to ask him to put it on, since it was breaking the law.
The officers, as indicated by the Missions Police, warned him that otherwise they should prepare the minutes.
That generated the fury of the young man who began to insult the agents.
"Shitty cops have nothing to do, you don't know who I am, now you are going to see,"
said the person involved, also wanting to flee.
Immediately the officers followed him and caught up with him after a few meters, arresting him for resisting authority.
