The political system this evening (Thursday) condemned the attack on the police by the followers of Viznitz-Merkaz in Bnei Brak.

Shas chairman Arieh said the attackers should be stopped soon.

"The severe violence tonight in Bnei Brak, of a number of rioters against police officers who came as part of their job to enforce the closure - is severe and outrageous," Deri said.

"The rioters must be stopped and acted upon with all the severity of the law. The guidelines must be observed and lives saved."

The Torah Judaism Party also responded later, and in a reserved manner.

The chairman of the Constitution Committee, MK Yaakov Asher, said that "violence of any kind should be condemned and it should be made unequivocally clear that this is not our way. At the same time, there is no escape from the feeling that the police are operating under media pressure." "Reducing the crowds, but the complete opposite, and it's a shame."

The chairman of the Torah Judaism faction, MK Yitzhak Pindros, said, "As someone who fights police violence, it is obligatory tonight to say in a clear voice - violence is not the way of the Torah. It is obligatory to condemn and condemn the blasphemy we saw tonight."

In the video, the followers are seen violently attacking the detectives, smashing the glass of the vehicle in which they were traveling and hitting it with planks and stones.

The Vizhnitz Chassidut is headed by the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hagar. The incident took place on King Shlomo Street in the city. During the incident, a policewoman was lightly injured.

The chairman of the Yisrael Beiteinu party, MK Avigdor Lieberman, commented on the incident and said that "Tonight's lynching in Bnei Brak is crossing all the red lines. This is not just a riot but this is a new kind of terrorism and the treatment must be accordingly. "Until all the savages of man who were partners with him are caught and severely punished. We will not accept a state-within-a-state situation."

MK Moshe Arbel (Shas) sharply criticized the attack on the police in Bnei Brak.

"I express shock and disgust at a disturbed mob dressed as ultra-Orthodox who physically harmed Israeli police officers," he said.

"Barbarism of this kind has no place in our camp and in a society that wants life. I expect the law enforcement authorities to prosecute these rioters. They are not anxious."

The municipality of Bnei Brak also condemned the violent incident against the police, stating that "we are in a state of mental supervision and we must all act and do everything possible to prevent further morbidity and the existential danger that follows. These acts are not the way of the city ".

They added that "this is a serious case of a group of boys who must be brought to justice for it. This exceptional event cannot tarnish a relationship of respect and cooperation with the police and security forces in recent months."

Homeland Security Minister Amir Ohana (Likud) said that "the wild violence we saw tonight in Bnei Brak is a heinous crime and blasphemy at the hands of villains in the Torah authority. It will not pass quietly. The reaction will come, and fast."

He added that he "backs up and strengthens the police forces, carrying on their backs the difficult and forced good of the fight against the spread of the corona virus, law enforcement and order, and the war on terror and crime."

A new Tikva party said that "Netanyahu is coming to terms with the violence against police as it took place tonight in Bnei Brak, as part of his general helplessness against violence and as part of the general riot in the country."

The party added that "a new government of hope led by Gideon Saar will enforce the law throughout the country and on all issues without compromise, and will bring stability to the State of Israel."

"A sane state cannot allow such things to happen."

Yesh Atid chairman Yair Lapid said: "This is not ultra-Orthodox.

This is a bunch of anarchists who need to end the night in custody and be tried severely as soon as possible.

A sane state can not allow such things to happen. "He added that" this is the price we are paying for the political laxity of this government.

We will change that. "

MK Yoel Rezbozov (Yesh Atid) also condemned the violence.

"A police vehicle was lynched tonight in Bnei Brak. Prime Minister? Silence. What are the police on the ground supposed to think and feel, when the people who send them on a mission do not back them up because of personal whims and political survival considerations? How are the police supposed to do their job?" ".
