First he drove his car with full force against a guardrail, then later he claimed that he had had an accident with wildlife.
But the police didn't believe this story for a 19-year-old.
The young man from Franconia was out and about in his Ford Transit on Rosenheimer Landstrasse in Nuekirchstockach early Thursday evening. According to the police, he drove straight into the guardrail in a right-hand bend for an as yet unexplained cause, so that it was torn from its anchorage. Without worrying about it, the man just drove on until he and his car, which had been severely damaged by the impact, came to a halt on State Road 2078 at Dürnhaar. He then called the police and said that he had had a game accident, but that the animal had continued to run. When the officers took a closer look at the car and the extent of the damage, they quickly realized that there had been no game accident. They soon discovered the actual scene of the accident. The 19-year-old now has to answer for fleeing an accident. He caused a total of 12,000 euros in damage.
