Georges Tron tested negative for Covid-19, his appeal trial will be able to resume

The mayor of Draveil (Essonne) and his former assistant face twenty years imprisonment for "rape" on two former employees of the town hall.


After a false start on Tuesday January 19, the appeal trial of Georges Tron will really be able to start on Monday January 25.

has indeed learned that the mayor of Draveil (Essonne) had tested negative for Covid-19.

The politician was considered a contact case of several of his collaborators, which had pushed the president of the Assize Court to order the interruption of this long-awaited trial after only a few hours of hearing.

Georges Tron and his former assistant to Culture Brigitte Gruel must appear for “rapes” on two former employees of the town hall, Eva Loubrieu and Virginie Ettel.

They incur twenty years of imprisonment.

At first instance, they had been acquitted.
