Journalists and public figures reacted to the events that took place tonight in Bnei Brak, and condemned the security forces • Deputy Minister Maklev: "Police officers must not be allowed to go on a revenge campaign"
In the ultra-Orthodox world, they woke up this morning (Friday) when their opinions were divided on the riots that took place last night in Bnei Brak.
Along with announcements made last night by ministers and Knesset members who strongly condemn the protesters, journalists and senior public figures in the sector attacked the security forces and claimed selective enforcement.
Severe clashes between police and residents of Bnei Brak
Large police forces, including YSM personnel, arrived in the city with the aim of dispersing the yeshiva students responsible for the violent riot. Six suspects were arrested for disturbances and taken for questioning. The incident began when ultra-Orthodox noticed a rental car with police officers on duty. Throwing stones and planks at the vehicle, shattering the windows of vehicles and pecking at tires, and a policewoman sitting in one of the vehicles was lightly injured.
Deputy Minister Uri Maklev commented on the riots: "Violence against violence? Throwing stun grenades without reprimand, punishment and violence against passers-by, infant and small child panic, false arrests, all this puts the police and the entire police where the rioters are. There is no violence under violence and no punishment. "Collective in the face of a disgruntled minority."
Maklev spoke last night with Minister of Internal Security Amir Ohana, demanding that the "rioting of the police riot" be stopped.
He said, "Police officers must not be allowed to go on a revenge campaign. The police have a defined role in the law, and they must act solely in accordance with what the law allows them to do."
The ultra-Orthodox groups were also outraged at the attitude of the police: "We need to punish the police chiefs, and explain to the rebbe and the rabbis not to accept reconciliation delegations on their behalf."

Until this night when Bnei Brak became a battlefield sponsored by dozens of grenades in the small hours of the night.
This is further proof of the sense that this is a campaign of revenge regardless of the enforcement of corona regulations.
