Kremlin nervous ahead of protests for Navalny scheduled for Saturday across Russia

Russian authorities were showing signs of nervousness on Friday, on the eve of a wave of protests planned in at least 90 cities across Russia, in favor of Alexey Navalny, the opponent imprisoned since his return from Germany.

Thursday and Friday, some of his collaborators were arrested, including representatives of his movement in several regions (in the Urals, Siberia and the Far East).

His spokesperson, Kira Iarmych, was sentenced to nine days in detention while lawyer Lioubov Sobol, another opposition figure, arrested on Thursday, was finally released.
