About 100 demonstrators gathered tonight (Friday) at the entrance to Umm al-Fahm in protest of the lack of enforcement against crime in the Arab sector.
Protesters briefly blocked Route 65, then hurled Molotov cocktails and threw stones at police forces, who responded by dispersing demonstrations.
At the same time, the heads of authorities in the Arab sector have threatened to resign if there is no change in police enforcement.
According to police, shortly after the blockade of Route 65, protesters marched on the main square in Umm al-Fahm and began breaking tires.
Police arrested four protesters on suspicion of public disorder.
The demonstration took place a few hours after a 21-year-old man, who had returned from a demonstration that took place at noon on the issue of enforcement, was murdered in the city.
