The new multi-storey car park at the Geretsried school center is almost finished.
Outside facilities and driveway still have to be completed.
Geretsried - In theory, drivers could park in the new multi-storey car park at the school center - if they could get inside.
Because the outdoor facilities and thus the driveway are not yet ready.
Mayor Michael Müller is already proud of the new achievement, "even if it was a financial feat".
Geretsried - In the middle of 2020, the cost estimate was four million euros and thus ten percent above the calculation from 2017. Project manager Thomas Kaltenmark from the Stuttgart engineering office Klotz und Partner had the increase, as reported, with unforeseen old material that had to be disposed of and additional costs justified in the award.
In addition, the city council had nailed the planning and opted for the larger and more expensive solution with eight half-levels.
There are now around 240 parking spaces in the building, which is color-coordinated with the adjacent inter-municipal indoor swimming pool - including twelve parking spaces with e-charging stations.
One parking space is 2.50 meters wide, the two at the end of a row are 2.60 meters.
On the one hand, visitors to the new indoor pool should use the parking deck, which is due to open in the middle of this year.
But it is also intended for teachers who teach at the school center, visitors to sports and cultural events and residents.
“This will enable us to reduce the parking pressure in the district,” promises the mayor.
The chargeable parking spaces are accessible via a stairwell and an elevator.
The pay machines are next to the entrance and exit.
They are installed in such a way that people in wheelchairs can also buy tickets.
