Following the condemnations against the police attack in Bnei Brak, the ultra-Orthodox sector sharply criticized the police this morning (Friday), claiming that they arrived in the city last night for a "revenge campaign," which included violence against innocent people and stun grenades - but did not act against the attackers.

The followers of Viznitz-Merkaz last night attacked police detectives in the city, during enforcement they carried out against the violation of the Koruna guidelines in Bnei Brak.

They also smashed the glass of the vehicle in which they were traveling and hit it with planks and stones.

During the incident, a policewoman was slightly injured.

As a result, dozens of YSM police officers arrived near midnight at a meeting of the Vizhnitz-Hasid storks, from which the boys who attacked the policemen allegedly came out. However, the police forces encountered an empty yeshiva after the boys studying there left the place. For civilians and curious people on nearby streets, when the police used violence against them, in some cases for no reason, and made massive use of stun grenades and olive groves.

Six protesters were arrested, however, none of the attackers in the violent incident were arrested.

Deputy Minister Meir Porush (Torah Judaism) claimed that "even if the spectacle of harming police vehicles is not justified at all, the police must not act as if it is a violent revenge campaign that does not contribute to restoring peace to the city, things should have been conducted wisely and not forcefully."

His party colleague, Deputy Minister Uri Maklev, claimed that "police officers must not be allowed to go on a revenge campaign."

He said, "The police have a defined role in the law and must act solely in accordance with what the law allows them to do."

Public Security Minister The face, Amir Ohana, responded to the criticism, admitting that "most of the ultra-Orthodox public and in Bnei Brak in particular are law-abiding and unfortunately suffered tonight for no injustice in their palms." However, Ohana added that "attacking police officers can not pass quietly.

Like the corona guidelines or not?

The role of the police is to enforce.

We are in a common struggle to save lives.

The enemy is the virus, not another.

You can win - together. "
