Relaxation in the dog dispute of Ismaning: The town hall has presented the owners with a compromise.

Ismaning

- A compromise is on the table in the Ismaning dog dispute.

The town hall's proposal: keeper and dog should be allowed to use the path on the west side of the ice pond outside of the bathing season.

In the most recent council meeting, Mayor Alexander Greulich (SPD) addressed the protests and the collection of signatures from dog owners.

He made it clear once again that nothing has changed in the rules, even if some dog owners do not want to admit it.

Basically, according to Greulich, dog owners can circle the ice pond on two sides along the village street.

A detour of 200 meters, which the mayor considers reasonable.

He did not let any discussions arise in the west of the water, where the lawn, the playground and, since this year, the area with public sports equipment are located.

The dog ban is set in stone here, but that is not a bad thing: "It feels like five meters further there is a well-paved path on which you can also walk with dogs and which has two entrances into the Taxet forest," said Greulich.

"We can live with that"

For the mayor, the crux of the matter is the transition from this western path between pond and forest directly to the festival meadow.

To smooth things over, he offered to clear the path for dogs outside the bathing season from October to March: "If this calms the storm in the water glass again," said Greulich, "then we can live with it." The local councils had to nothing to say to the proposal.

"I see nodding approval," said Greulich.

The administration should implement the compromise immediately.

The mayor did not want to let the subject rest entirely.

But he went back to the allegations of several dog owners that the community wanted to introduce new rules through the back door: “The signs are over 20 years old, even if something different is always claimed.

You have only been at the height of the Zamperl so far and are now at the height of the dog owners. ”And he made it clear that both sides of the obvious conflict about the ice pond speak up in almost every public consultation hour.

The overwhelming number of dog owners always adhere to the rules, they use the bags and remove the remains of their dogs.

"If there weren't any bad examples, we wouldn't have the problems either," emphasized the mayor.

He said clearly that the community must also protect the sports equipment that is well received by the citizens: "If it gets shit, it's not funny."
