Faced with the Dostoevsky Year that begins now - 2021 celebrates 200 years since his birth and 140 since his death - it is appropriate to recall some of the prophecies of this writer, concerned about injustice, the abuse of power or simply the human condition.

"Civilization has created if not a bloodier man, then more cruel and worse than before," he replied to the ideal of the enlightened, adding: "The tower of Babel became an ideal and, on the other hand, a nightmare of the whole humanity ”....
