Today, the Japanese Ministry of Health announced that the number of coronavirus infections in Japan has so far exceeded 362,000, while the death toll has exceeded 5,000.
In a statement, the Japanese health authorities reported, and Kyodo News reported, that 4,717 new cases of the virus were recorded during the past 24 hours, in addition to the registration of 83 deaths, bringing the total number of Corona-related deaths in the country to 5,077.
Japan had declared a state of limited emergency in Tokyo and three provinces adjacent to the capital recently to reduce the rise in infections in the country.
