At the same time, on the streets of Jordan's "restricted area" in the early hours of the 24th, government officials and police stayed up all night to prevent residents from going out.
The government yesterday (January 23) issued a restriction and testing announcement and mandatory testing announcement on the designated "restricted areas" in Jordan, and required the people under inspection to be tested before midnight yesterday.

The government thanks people in the "restricted area" for their cooperation and orderly coming to the sampling station for testing. It also thanks colleagues from various departments and testing contractors for their efforts and support to assist citizens in conducting testing.
The government has provided people under inspection with simple food and cleaning supplies.
The Home Affairs Department has also arranged more than 50 staff who can speak minority languages to assist residents in receiving tests as soon as possible in the "restricted areas", and distribute relevant information on restrictions and test announcements in multiple languages.
The government stated that it hopes that this operation can completely cut off the transmission chain in the area, relieve residents' worries and fears, regain their confidence in the community, restore the vitality of social and commercial activities, and restore the normal life of citizens.

The government also reminds anyone who has been in the "restricted area" for more than two hours in the past 14 days, even if they are not in the "restricted area" when the relevant declaration takes effect, they must follow the mandatory testing announcement and be self-contained. Go to the testing center for testing as soon as possible.

Anyone who violates the restrictions and the test declaration is a crime and is liable to a fine of 25,000 yuan and six months' imprisonment.
