Youth will be vaccinated:

HMOs announced yesterday (Friday) that starting Saturday night, they will begin vaccinating youths aged 18-16 against Corona, after the Ministry of Health approved vaccinating this age group for matriculation and IDF screening. "Education must be at the forefront Our priorities.

"After we made sure that the teachers were vaccinated, we must make sure that the youth can hold the matriculation exams and return to the frameworks as soon as possible," said Defense Minister Bnei Gantz in response to the Ministry of Health's approval.

In addition, the Ministry of Health also announced that any passenger wishing to fly to Israel would be required to present a negative corona test conducted up to three days before the departure date or to present a vaccination permit issued by the ministry.

The arrangement will apply to any passenger who has been outside Israel for more than 72 hours, except in exceptional cases that will be approved individually.

As for crew members on the aircraft, only if the same person arrives in the country for more than 72 hours.

In the event that the passenger leaves the country before seven days have elapsed from the date of the second vaccination he received, he will be charged for full isolation regardless of the date of his entry into Israel.

It was also learned that the State Comptroller intends to examine the issue of congestion in the corona wards in Israeli hospitals and their situation in comparison with the other wards, as part of an examination of the functioning of the health system in the corona crisis.

Legendary presenter dies:

Larry King, who for 25 years presented the successful interview show "Larry King Live" on CNN, died today at the age of 87 after contracting the corona virus last month.

King was hospitalized last month at Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, where he was in solitary confinement.

During his hospitalization it was learned that his family members were also not allowed to visit him.

King was one of the most successful and respected television interviewers in history.

He is survived by three sons, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Two of his children died last year for various reasons.

Demonstrations against Putin:

Tens of thousands of people marched across Russia today against the arrest of Alexei Navlani, the Russian opposition leader arrested on Sunday after returning to the country a few months after being poisoned in a failed assassination attempt by the Russian security organization FSB.

Navalny was arrested on charges of violating the terms of his suspended sentence in 2014, when he left Russia for Germany to receive life-saving treatment.

Following his arrest, Navalny's organization published a comprehensive investigation that exposed the corruption and failures surrounding the construction of the abandoned Palace of Glory of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Black Sea region.

Julia Navalny, the wife of the opposition man, led the demonstrations in the capital Moscow.

Reuters reported at least 40,000 protesters in the city, but the Russian Interior Ministry reported that only 4,000 people came to demonstrate.

Reuters also reported that more than 1,600 of the protesters in the capital had been arrested.

In the cities of Vladivostok and Irkutsk in Siberia, tens of thousands of protesters took part in a loud street protest, in freezing cold, and even confronted police forces.

The large number of demonstrators in many cases prevented the dispersal of the demonstrations.

Even in Israel, they did not remain indifferent to the arrest of the opposition man.

In front of the Russian embassy in Tel Aviv, a demonstration was held by several hundred people in favor of a carnal release and in protest against the political repression in Russia.

The protesters shouted "Russia will be free" and carried signs demanding the release of the country's political detainees.

Charges against Trump will be passed to the Senate:

The majority leader in the US Senate, Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer, announced last night that the impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump is expected to begin this coming Monday, according to the American newspaper The New York Times.

According to Shumer, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Democrat Nancy Pelosi, has decided to pass to the Senate the charges approved this week in Congress as early as this coming Monday and not wait with it, as the Republican Party had hoped.

The charges relate to the former president's involvement in an outbreak of the congressional compound about three weeks ago - events that ended in the deaths of five people, including four protesters and a police officer.

Five years in prison for Benny Steinmetz:

Israeli businessman and billionaire Benny Steinmetz was convicted last night of corruption by the Swiss court, and was sentenced to five years in prison.

According to the charges filed against him, Steinmetz bribed senior Guinea officials in Africa with the aim of taking over the country's iron ore.

According to the suspicion, the company he owns distributed a bribe of about $ 10 million in order to take over the mining rights in Simando County.

Steinmetz himself lived in Switzerland until 2016, but now lives in Israel.

Just last month, Steinmetz was convicted of corruption offenses in Romania, along with strategic adviser Tal Zilberstein.

The two were convicted of land fraud, following an appeal of acquittals in an earlier court.
