In the midst of the controversy and the requests for federal intervention that a group of deputies from Elisa Carrió made in Formosa for the state of the isolation centers for people with coronavirus, the Justicialista Party issued a statement this Saturday in defense of Governor Gildo Insfrán, whom they define as the victim of the alleged opposition attacks.
The PJ led by José Luis Gioja closed ranks in defense of Insfrán and accused the opposition of leading a "
fierce political and media campaign
" that aims to
"attack Peronism
.
"
"The unusual requests for federal intervention and the permanent operations driven by sectors of the opposition to the National Government reveal the political intention of the permanent smear campaign against Formosa," says the text signed by Daniel Scioli, Lucía Corpacci, in addition to Gioja. Leonardo Nardini, Rosana Bertone and Antonio Caló.
And he adds: "They call themselves democratic and republican, but they seek, with these tricks, to achieve the spaces that the popular vote of the people of Formosa forcefully denies them."
For the PJ authorities, "the objective of the opposition, finally, is to
attack Peronism and the Peronist government that beat them at the polls
. For this same reason they called for a breach of the quarantine, they militate against the vaccine and promote the crack in all possible areas ".
Days ago, after videos of the conditions in which people who had coronavirus and others who still did not know if they were positive cases were viralized on the networks, in the isolation centers of the province, deputies who respond to Carrió They presented a request for intervention from "the Executive and Judicial powers of the province of Formosa, in order to guarantee the Republican form of Government."
The proposal indicates that the intervention would be for 180 days, and that the federal controller will be appointed by President Alberto Fernández, and that this process will establish the "immediate expiration of the mandate of the Governor and Lieutenant Governor."

The PJ statement
In a pandemic, the primary obligation of every government is to defend the health and life of its community.
In our country one province stands out especially for the health indicators achieved in defense of its population: Formosa. The health policy deployed by the provincial government managed to have the least amount of infections and the least amount of deaths from COVID-19 in the Argentine Republic.
The fierce political and media campaign unleashed again against that province cannot have as its true foundation, therefore, a health concern, much less an interest in the welfare of the people of Formosa.
The unusual requests for federal intervention and the permanent motorized operations by sectors of the opposition to the National Government reveal the political intentions of the permanent smear campaign against Formosa. They call themselves democratic and republican, but they seek, with these tricks, to achieve the spaces that the popular vote of the people of Formosa forcefully denies them.
The grievances against Gildo Insfrán are no coincidence. Not only is he a governor who can show great management in his province, but he is also the President of the National Congress of the Justicialist Party and a leader with a long and distinguished career as a militant and a reference in our political movement.
The objective of the opposition, finally, is to attack Peronism and the Peronist government that beat them at the polls.
For this same reason, they called for non-compliance with the quarantine, they militate against the vaccine and promote the crack in all possible areas.
This way of doing politics not only damages democracy and the institutions that they claim to defend so much, but also, in times of pandemic, this petty and selfish attitude can cost the lives of many compatriots.
Human life, in addition to being the fundamental value to protect, is also the limit of lies. Believing otherwise is an act of the utmost baseness and unworthiness.
To put Argentina permanently on its feet, we must continue to defend together the health and life of each and every one of our compatriots.
