The Israeli embassy in Abu Dhabi officially opened today (Sunday) - about four months since the normalization agreement was signed with the United Arab Emirates.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Lior Hayat announced that the embassy had opened with the arrival of the representative in charge of the mission, Eitan Na'a.



According to the ministry, the Israeli embassy in the United Arab Emirates will promote the full range of relations between the countries on all levels and expand ties with the emirate government, economic bodies and the private sector, academia, the media and more.

The embassy will work to advance Israel's interests and be at the disposal of its citizens.
