The Dutch police announced on January 23 that at the request of the Australian police, they had arrested Tse Chi Lop (transliteration: Xie Zhile), a Chinese Canadian who was an "Asian drug lord" and known as the "three brothers" in Amsterdam.

He is based in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, and employs Muay Thai masters as bodyguards.

Investigators told Reuters that he was a good gambler and lost US$66 million (approximately HK$511,635,300) overnight.

Xie was accused of managing a drug cartel, producing and trafficking methamphetamine, heroin, and ketones.

His business spans Asia, including Japan, Hong Kong, Macau, China, Taiwan, Myanmar, Australia, and Thailand.

The organization is tight and cruel.

The organization is formed by alliances with Hong Kong 14k, Heshenghe, Daquan Gang, Taiwan Bamboo Union, and other alliances with Japanese gangs. His drug production line in Myanmar is known to be protected by the local Shanzhou warlord.

However, according to Reuters, the group was disbanded due to gangs competing for benefits.

Xie was born in the "Great Circle Gang" in Guangdong, and later moved to Hong Kong and emigrated to Canada before his return. In 1998, he was tried in the United States for drug trafficking and was sentenced to 9 years after pleading. In 2006, he returned to Canada after being released from prison, and then returned to Hong Kong.

In 2011, Xie and his wife Tse Yim Fun established a registered company "Zhonghe Investment Group Co., Ltd." in Hong Kong. Both of them declared Canadian passports, but did not leave their Chinese names. The address of the two declarations was the middle floor of Hengyi Building, Changheng Village, Tsing Yi unit.

The Australian media described Tse Chi Lop as the Asian version of "Dwarf" Guzman. After he was arrested in the Netherlands on January 23, he is expected to be extradited to Australia for trial.

Dutch airport arrested

The International Criminal Police Organization (ICPO) has been pursuing Xie Zhile for many years and arrested him on the 22nd.

According to the Australian police investigation, Xie’s organization dominates the Asia-Pacific drug trade worth 70 billion US dollars a year, and he is also on the list of most wanted criminals in the Netherlands.

Reuters quoted documents it read as saying that the group has been "directly or involved in at least 13 drug trafficking cases" since 2015.

According to the information received, the Netherlands arrested the opponent at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, but encountered no resistance during the arrest.

He was preparing to fly to Canada.

Thomas Aling, a spokesman for the Dutch police, said he could not provide information about the legal process and he did not know whether he had appointed a lawyer.

Australia intends to request extradition

The Netherlands said that he is expected to be extradited to Australia after appearing in court.

The Australian Attorney General will begin preparations for a formal extradition request for him to come to Australia for trial.

The Australian Federal Police (AFP), who led the investigation, said on the 24th that it had issued an arrest warrant against Xie in 2019 and that his criminal activities were part of the Operation Volante crackdown by the Australian police.

The operation is aimed at dismantling the operation of a global criminal group.

The Australian police said they arrested 27 members of a multinational criminal syndicate in Operation Volante in Melbourne from 2012 to 2013, and seized 9 million Australian dollars worth of stolen goods, including cash, designer handbags, casino chips and jewelry.

The arrest of Xie Zhile on January 22, 2021 is a continuation of this operation.

In October 2018, the Thai police blocked a drug laboratory at the border, believed to belong to the "three brothers" drug trafficking group.

500 billion in annual business

Reuters reported in 2019 that Xie’s drug cartel group members call it "The Company."

The "company" is involved in transnational production and trafficking of methamphetamine, heroin, and kiddies, with a turnover of nearly HK$500 billion a year.

The head of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) South-East Asia and the Pacific Office, Jeremy Douglas, described to Reuters in 2019 that thanks to the Mexican drug lord Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán, he even had Therefore, the Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar (Pablo Escobar) is equally famous.

"Hong Kong 01" tracked down the other party's whereabouts in Hong Kong last year and found that he used Tsing Yi public housing as the company's address, and disclosed that he had been recovered by the Singapore Sands Casino for 11 million Hong Kong dollars in Hong Kong and then filed for bankruptcy.
