The daily health report for this Sunday, January 24 was published by Santé Publique France.
The executive particularly observes hospital data with attention: the number of hospitalized patients increased again this Sunday, to 26,357 (+ 493 in 24 hours), a good thousand more than a week ago.
The intensive care units - where the most serious cases are - have 2955 patients (+69 in 24 hours), against 2766 seven days previously.

In the last twenty-four hours, France has recorded 172 deaths in hospital (against 321 on Saturday, which is a decrease), bringing the total to 73,049 since the start of the epidemic. 18,436 infected people were detected, bringing the total number of contaminations detected to 3,053,617. The positivity rate of the tests, a leading indicator closely followed, is 7.1% (7.1% Saturday, 7% Friday), the highest since the beginning of December.
