conservative incumbent Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa was
re-elected in the first round of
the
presidential election in Portugal
.
The 72-year-old received between 55.5 and 62 percent of the vote on Sunday, according to different forecasts.
The
socialist candidate Ana Gomes
received 12.2 to 17.1 percent of the vote.
The right-wing populist André Ventura got 9 to 14.1 percent and came third.
