The Israeli embassy in Abu Dhabi officially opened today (Sunday) with the arrival of the representative of the delegation, the Israeli diplomat Eitan Na'a.

The Embassy in the United Arab Emirates will promote the full range of relations between the countries on all levels and expand ties with the Emirati government, economic bodies and the private sector, academia, the media and more.

Until the permanent structure is found, the embassy will operate from temporary offices, which will be inaugurated in the coming days.

This is another step in the implementation of the peace agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, which was signed in Washington on September 15, and the series of agreements that have been signed since then.

Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi said: "I wish success to Eitan Na'a and the entire embassy staff in their first steps, that they walk in the name of the State of Israel in Abu Dhabi. The opening of the mission will allow the expansion of bilateral ties between Israel and the Emirates. And to my colleague and friend, Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Ben-Zayed, on leadership and hospitality towards our representatives. "

Ashkenazi also welcomed the decision of the Emirates government today to open an embassy in Israel: "This is an important decision that will lead to the promotion of warm ties between the countries and the peoples. We expect to receive the emirates' representatives in the country soon."

In the coming days, the Israeli Liaison Office in Rabat and the Consulate General of Israel in Dubai are expected to open.

This is in addition to the Israeli embassy in Bahrain, which has been operating for several weeks.
