On his first Sunday as President of the United States, Joe Biden repeated the ritual of his entire life and went to Mass with his family, this time in a neighborhood near the White House.

The surprise was given at the exit, when the entourage of dark and armored cars stopped a few blocks from the place so that the president could buy his lunch and there was a detail that few noticed: the democrat

chose the restaurant of an Argentine

for his first food on the go in this new stage of his life.

Biden went to Mass at around noon at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in the Georgetown neighborhood, a temple he used to visit when he was vice president.

After staying there for 35 minutes, his caravan arrived at the White House about 19 minutes later, too long for the short drive to the presidential mansion.

Is that, as reported by the journalists who accompany the president in his movements, Biden ordered the caravan to stop on their return so that his son Hunter could get off to buy a typical "bagel" (a special spongy bread with the shape of a ring that It is usually filled with various items) at Call your Mother, a pink and green store on the corner of Calle O and 35.

What a GREAT Sunday surprise!

The owner of the place is Daniela Moreira Camia, from Cordoba, a professional chef, who has turned her bagels into an iconic Washington meal, where she has already opened four stores and is on her way to the opening of the fifth.

Moreira has been highlighted last year as one of the 30 best female entrepreneurs under 30 in the United States.

Meanwhile, his daughters Finnegan and Maisy, who had also attended mass, stayed in the car with their grandfather, the president, and the Secret Service.

While the order was being prepared, there was an agglomeration of dozens of residents who walked through that traditional neighborhood of the American capital and were surprised to see the mass of cars and guards on the corner.

Moreira had left his business just 10 minutes earlier, he told

A neighbor sent him a photo with the entire security movement on the corner and warned him: “I think there is something important”, without knowing who it was.

"I couldn't communicate and after a while the manager called me and said: no joke, the president was there."

Daniela Moreira, the Cordovan owner of the bagel place in Washington where Joe Biden bought his lunch this Sunday.

Moreira says that Biden bought a sesame bagel with cream cheese and other classic ones.

"The truth is, I'm in shock," he says.

"My phone didn't stop ringing after the visit."

The Cordovan says that due to the repercussion they are preparing to sell more these days.

“We hope you come back again.

We are impressed, he just took office on Wednesday, after 4 very dark years for Washington DC.

That the first weekend he goes out like this, that he does not hide, it is a joy.

It shows that he is a president of the people, not of hiding ”.

And he expressed a wish: "We hope that he will return, that he will go to many businesses and restaurants that need a boost after everything that is happening."
