The head of the Health Committee in the Lebanese Parliament, Representative Assem Araji, revealed that the mutated strain of the Corona virus discovered in Britain is in Lebanon.
Araji said in a televised statement tonight that there is a mutated strain of the Corona virus discovered in Britain in Lebanon, and versions of Corona mutated from Brazil, Denmark and South Africa may also be present, pointing to the high number of corona infections in the country and that things are difficult.
Araji indicated that the situation will be assessed before the closure in Lebanon is lifted after February 8th.
Lebanon is witnessing a complete closure in implementation of the decision of the Supreme Defense Council until the eighth of next February in an attempt to limit the spread of the Corona epidemic.
Earlier, the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health announced the registration of 50 deaths and 3010 new infections with the Coronavirus during the past 24 hours.
The ministry stated in its report today that the total number of injuries reached 279597 and 2340 deaths.
