Occupied Jerusalem - SANA
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed its call on the international community to provide international protection for Islamic and Christian holy sites, foremost of which is Al-Aqsa Mosque, and to stop the continuous Israeli attacks on them.
In a statement carried by Wafa Agency, the Foreign Ministry condemned the Israeli occupation forces' storming of the Dome of the Rock and preventing the completion of restoration work inside it, which comes less than 24 hours after the occupation prevented the Al-Aqsa Reconstruction Committee from carrying out periodic maintenance work in the Al-Marwani Mosque on the southeastern side of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Foreign Ministry indicated that the escalation of the occupation and its attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque comes within the framework of implementing its plans to Judaize it, calling on the specialized international organizations, especially the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), to assume its legal and moral responsibilities towards the continuous attacks on Christian and Islamic holy sites in Jerusalem and to stop them.
