Luber says, “With paperless work, that's not an issue at all.
You close your laptop and everything is protected. ”But as soon as a few sheets of paper with names and numbers are involved, a lockable room is needed, explains the bank manager - and not everyone has one like that.
The employees who can work at home like to do it, Luber continues.
“At the moment it's also about childcare.
That's why our employees are happy when they have the opportunity to stay at home. ”Luber also assures that the 95 percent of the workforce that needs to be present is well distributed:“ We have the capacity to do so because of some branch closures.
That is why almost all employees have their own office.
We have split up some departments for this. "
If the area of responsibility allows, the employees of the Erdinger Weißbräu also work at home.
"In fact, we actively encourage them to do so for their own protection," said Josef Westermeier, Managing Director Marketing and Sales, on request.
The private brewery has moved internal and external meetings to the Internet.
"Face-to-face meetings are only permitted in exceptional cases," reports Westermeier.
The upholstered furniture manufacturer Himolla in Taufkirchen relies on voluntary action.
And it is very well received.
Personnel manager Manfred Schneider explains: “In our company, there is no obligation to work from home, but it is also not necessary.
In order to minimize the risk of infection, our employees are encouraged to work from home as often as possible. ”Around 150 work from home.
“The opportunity to work from home is particularly popular with colleagues with small children,” reports Schneider.
The furniture manufacturer has been continuously upgrading its technology since the beginning of the pandemic.
For example, new laptops and software licenses were purchased so that everything works in the home office as it does in the office.
There is also the option of working from home in the administration.
Here the situation is a bit more difficult.
“Not all employees have access to the databases they need for work from home,” explains Erdings city spokesman Christian Wanninger.
In any case, it is not possible to stay at home in departments with contact with citizens.
In the Erdinger town hall, employees working from home are therefore only isolated cases, says Wanninger.
Tables have been adjusted and partition walls have been installed so that the 160-strong town hall team can still work as safely as possible.
It looks different in the district office.
Spokeswoman Claudia Fiebrandt-Kirmeyer says: “The possibility of practicing home office is basically given in all areas.” And it is also accepted across the board - with the exception of the registration and driving license office.
Employees go home mainly to straighten out offices with double or multiple uses.
Since the visitor traffic in the district office is significantly less due to corona than in normal times and the employees can all be reached by phone or email, it works well.
