Three days after the night of the battle in the city, the four turned themselves in at the police station in the city • "Throwing stones and planks"
Police today (Sunday) arrested four Bnei Brak residents on suspicion of involvement in the police attack on Thursday in the city.
The police opened an investigation upon receiving a report of a serious assault of three police officers from the licensing unit during their activities in the city of Bnei Brak.
Instead, as mentioned, a riot ensued that lasted until four in the morning.
Severe clashes between police and residents of Bnei Brak
As you may recall, the incident began when several suspects gathered on Thursday around a vehicle in which officers were sitting on duty, throwing stones and planks at them, in a manner that caused their injury.
The suspects turned themselves in at the Bnei Brak station.
The clashes sparked a political uproar.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he "strongly condemns the violence against the forces, we will act with a heavy hand."
Minister Yaakov Litzman (Torah Judaism) attacked the police and claimed that it was a "campaign of revenge." Even today, clashes broke out between ultra-Orthodox elements in Bnei Brak, during which one of the policemen even fired into the air. Clashes were also recorded in Ashdod, during which one of the policemen was documented throwing a child.
