At the end of four years of Trump's intoxication, Israel lands on the ground of reality with the beginning of the Biden administration's work.

The new president and his people are not the worst democratic gospel imaginable.

However, in the spirit of Ben-Gurion, the important question is not what the Americans will say but what the Israelis will tell them.

Even before Biden took office, Prime Minister Netanyahu and former ambassador Drummer clarified their negative views on the possibility that the United States would return to the nuclear deal with Iran. On the other hand, regarding Israel's critical interests in Judea and Samaria and the Palestinian Authority, nothing was heard from Netanyahu. He, as well as the other leaders of the state, Smutrich, Bennett, Saar, and the leaders of the left, do not speak at all of the paramount importance of preserving the significant steps taken by Trump and his administration to uncover the truth on the Palestinian issue and advance its solution.

Unlike the Iranian issue, on which Israel is preparing to present its position to the government, the Palestinian issue is neglected.

For example, the Americans are expected to open a Palestinian consulate in Jerusalem.

Is such a move good for Jews?

Is it promoting peace?

Does Israel agree to de facto American recognition of East Jerusalem as the capital of the future Palestinian state?

Does Israel at all support the establishment of such a state, not under the strict conditions of the Trump plan?

Does anyone at the National Security Council or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs deal with this?

The opinion is that the new administration will repeal the Pompeo Declaration, the de facto recognition of the legality of settlement in Judea and Samaria. One does not have to support settlements to know that this American position, other than reflecting the historical truth, greatly strengthens Israel's arguments in every international tribunal. Israeli policy will already launch a political-legal offensive that will establish, expand and deepen the justifications for the Pompeo declaration, so that the Biden administration will think twice before repealing it.

The same goes for the planned opening of PLO offices in Washington. Is it not legitimate for the US to demand that the PLO stop terrorist salaries - a phenomenon that the new Foreign Minister in Linken also opposed - before Abu Mazen receives this award?

And what about the renewal of UNRWA budgets? Does it make sense for the Biden people to know that the Palestinians will inherit the status of refugees from generation to generation, which has not happened to any other refugee in the world? Does this unique entitlement help or make it difficult to solve the Palestinian problem?

Of course, the American recognition of the Golan Heights as Israeli territory must be maintained, the struggle against the body called the "UN Human Rights Council" must continue, the decision defining the BDS as an antisemitic movement must not be revoked and the settlements must continue to be marked as Israeli.

True, the Biden administration will roll back at least some of the Trump marches, but now is the time to prepare a remedy for Mecca, study each issue in depth and make arguments and justifications that justify it, set priorities between the gestures expected to be repealed and perhaps even trade them with the Biden administration to minimize damage.

In short, the time has come for the right to wake up and start a struggle.

Trump left, Biden entered.

If the leaders of the national camp accept his decrees in shock and silence - they will be much more painful.
