A 46-year-old hunter was shot in the leg on Sunday January 24 during a wild boar beat in Saint-Julien-de-Crempse, Dordogne, according to the South West regional daily.

This Sunday, two individuals, the victim and his hunting partner were in a vehicle - most likely going to their knockdown zone - according to the Bergerac prosecutor's office.
As he got out of the car, the author of the shot grabbed his weapon, which was stored in a holster, as required by law.
However, it seems that the hunter did not take the precaution of unloading it, according to the safety instructions in force.
