It happens with Latin rock the same thing that happens with Latin American literature.
There is no doubt that there are powerful similarities between the books and the writers of Peru, Colombia, Uruguay or Chile.
But there is also no doubt that, being part of the same culture as the rest of Latin America, Argentina and Mexico are something else.
To a large extent, being Ecuadorian, Bolivian, or Guatemalan is trying not to be Argentine or Mexican, depending on which of the two empires is closer.
Both countries and cultures are also so different from each other that everything seems to have been built in contrast.
