SpaceX today announced a new record for vehicles launched on a single mission.
The American company said in a statement that it launched 143 vehicles into space, including 133 commercial and government spacecraft and ten Starlink satellites into space as part of the "Small Sat Raid Share" program, which provides reliable and affordable trips to orbit for small satellite operators.
The company indicated that it launched the reusable Falcon 9 missile at 10 a.m. EST from Block 40 at Cape Canaveral, Florida, southward along the eastern coast of Florida on its way into space.
The company explained that its satellites are designed to burn in the atmosphere within a few years to allay concerns about objects orbiting around the world.
