Together for Change expressed concern about

"the repeated human rights violations"

in Formosa by the Gildo Insfrán government, apologizing "for an absurd and authoritarian health strategy", after the complaints about the situation of the isolation centers in that province and the arrest of two opposition councilors.

"This is in addition to the already

established oppression, especially those who think differently from

the ruling party," they said in a statement.

In addition, they described as "unacceptable" that the National Secretariat for Human Rights does not take measures regarding "abuses by political power."

"In this way

its function is simply to cover up and defend the ruling party

, and not to watch over the rights of citizens," they added regarding the portfolio under Secretary Horacio Pietragalla.

And they came to the crossroads of the PJ statement, which defended the management of the president who since 1995 has been in charge of the province.

"We cannot allow freedoms to continue to be overwhelmed, while

the government party praises Insfrán's management and the President is silent,

" they argue.

Councilor Gabriela Neme was arrested in Formosa for protesting in an isolation center.

The letter was disseminated after a virtual meeting in which Alfredo Cornejo, Mario Negri,

Luis Naidenoff

,

Martín Lousteau, Patricia Bullrich,

Humberto Schiavoni

,

Maxi Ferraro

and

Juan Manuel López

.

Days ago, the Formosan Police arrested the councilors Gabriela Neme and Celeste Ruiz Diaz, who had denounced Insfrán for the conditions in the isolation centers for coronavirus patients in that province.

"In the UCR we put together a team of lawyers and we are taking care of everything, filing

legal actions before international

human

rights organizations

, the Federal and local Justice, but

the provincial justice is an appendix of the government

and there is none; and the federal justice is declared incompetent, "said Ruiz Díaz on Sunday in dialogue with radio Miter in reference to the situation of the isolation centers due to coronavirus.

Thousands of Formosans were stranded after the government's inflection to allow people to return to their homes.

This Monday, the Formosan government minister, Jorge Abel González, said that the complaints are part of

"a media campaign

.

"

And he justified the arrests of the two councilors for trying to "enter in a violent manner" in a preventive accommodation center, which operates in a school.

And he detailed, in dialogue with Radio con Vos, that

both have an open summary in court

for "instigation to commit crimes, public intimidation, attack and resistance against the authority and violation of article 205 of the Penal Code."

"JxC will be the one who raises its voice in the face of these abuses, we will denounce them in international organizations, in the courts and in Parliament, demanding to protect the rights of the people of Formosa.

We will be the guarantors of the constitutional freedoms

enjoyed by all citizens of Argentina ", concludes the statement.
