The Dar Al-Assad stage for Culture in Lattakia hosted the theatrical performance to recite the first works of the Mada Group for Theatrical and Musical Arts, in cooperation with the Society of Theater Friends.
The show, which was prepared from a text by the Iranian playwright and storyteller Gholam Hussein Saadi, nicknamed “Johar Murad” and directed by Akram Shaheen. Shaheen, the director of the show, the head of the Theater Friends Association, said in a statement to SANA that the choice of the text came to its approach to issues that we find resonating in our society in addition to the text dealing with the issue of the elderly “loneliness and isolation” and their conflict with young people who have a different vision of life, indicating that the show depends mainly on work Actor par excellence.
For his part, Majd Younis Ahmed, head of the Mada group, who performs the character of the old husband at work, said that “Taazeel” constitutes a new beginning for a union group that includes the Mada gathering and the Theater Friends Association with the aim of presenting a joint project that seeks to take the theater in a different direction, shape and thought.
In turn, the actress Sawsan Attaf, who plays the role of a maid, stressed the importance of dedicating the work to two of the great playwrights in Syria, and let us remind the new generations of stature who left their mark in the theater, saying that the text is beautiful and contains many meanings.
The actress, Ghorbet Mareshah, in the role of the old lady pointed to the specificity of the work, which depends on the effort of the actor and prompts them to think about many social issues that he raises in front of the need of the elderly and to make concessions to hold on to the maid who exploits their doctors for fear of the loneliness they suffer from.
