The police in Bali are using extraordinary means to reprimand tourists without face masks.
Up to 50 push-ups can be due for the offense.
Curious but true: In Bali *, the police are now ordering tourists who are without a mask to do push-ups.
Usually this offense costs 100,000 Indonesian rupiah (the equivalent of just under six euros).
Obviously, some holidaymakers don't seem to have the money with them, so those affected have to work out physically instead.

Anyone wearing a mask but not covering their nose has to do 15 push-ups.

However, 90 percent of foreign tourists would not adhere to it
, as Gusti Agung Ketut Suryanegara from the police in Badung told the AFP news agency.
“When we point out the rule violations to them, they often react disrespectfully.
Hopefully, if we do such inspections more often, more people will stick to the rules. "

More than 70 people were caught without a mask, as

However, since 30 of them could not pay the fine, they had to do the push-ups instead.
One tourist even got away by singing “Volare”.
Since then, a wide variety of videos have surfaced online showing how the police in Bali asked foreign tourists to do push-ups.
Some of them are very enthusiastic about it.
