Contacted by France Bleu Normandie, Tristan Duval apologized, explaining that he expressed himself poorly during the City Council.
He would simply have wanted to warn colleagues of the possible scenarios for dealing with the Covid-19 crisis.
"
I should have specified that this decision was being considered and not to involve the prefecture,
" he told the regional daily.
On Twitter, the official account of the city of Carbourg formalized this backpedaling.
Tristan Duval also apologized to the prefect of Calvados.

everything closed as in March, except schools
".
Monday evening, after the buzz of the video viewed more than 400,000 times, the prefecture of Calvados denied this information before the mayor of Carbourg backpedaled.
