It is 8:30 p.m. in Katowice on this winter evening in the Silesian capital of 300,000 inhabitants, and a dozen customers are still waiting on the sidewalk opposite the Bulkes restaurant.
They are between 18 and 25 years old and have come with friends.
Two students, Ania and Maryia (first names changed), are the next to sit at the table in this restaurant which reopened on Friday January 15, despite the restrictions in place to curb the Covid-19.
“It's great to have somewhere to go out and see people, especially!”
