A new study conducted by the World Health Organization revealed that the Corona virus affects the neurological and mental health of those infected with it.
The TASS news agency quoted the representative of the World Health Organization in the Russian Federation Melita Vujnovich as saying that “the study showed a high global demand for the services of psychiatrists and neurologists due to the Coronavirus pandemic,” stressing that recovering from the epidemic is impossible without urgent attention to promoting mental health.
The study indicated that most of the WHO Member States reported mental health and neurological disorders and drug use disorders due to the Corona epidemic, which consequently led to high rates of demand for psychiatric services.
