Corona outbreak at the armor school: About 90 soldiers and commanders have been discovered in recent days as being infected with the corona virus at the armor school after several soldiers became infected at home, infecting their unit members.
Most of the patients were concentrated in one company in the 460th Armored Brigade, and the patients were transferred to their homes or to isolation in the recovering village.
In view of the high number of infections, the medical corps examined whether the soldiers were infected with one of the mutations in the virus, but the possibility was ruled out.
In light of the large outbreak in the unit, hundreds of corona tests were performed in the 460th Brigade in Shizafon, about 90 of which, as mentioned, returned positive.
All infected in mild condition.
An investigation shows that the armored school complied with the guidelines, although there were some exceptions, especially in the gyms.
In light of the extent of the illness, the investigation was also presented to the Deputy Chief of Staff, Major General Eyal Zamir.
As of yesterday morning, the IDF had 1,887 verified servicemen for Corona, all in mild condition. 10,273 in home isolation. 91,700 servicemen received the first dose of the vaccine and 13,597 the second dose of the vaccine.
An IDF spokesman said: "In recent days, verified patients in the 460th Brigade have been discovered following an infection of several soldiers in their home.
Most patients are concentrated in one company and all stay at home or in the recovering village.
Every soldier who reported symptoms was examined and all soldiers who were exposed to the verified patients were immediately transferred to isolation and given a full logistical and command envelope.
The brigade held talks on the situation and procedures will be refined. "
