The new district student representative comes from the district.
Regina Wallner, a student at the Tölzer vocational school, introduces herself in the interview.
Bad Tölz
- The vocational schools, secondary schools and special needs schools in Upper Bavaria recently elected new district school spokespersons - for the first time in video conferences due to the Corona requirements.
The office of the deputy district student representative went to the district, more precisely to Regina Wallner (18), a student at the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen state vocational school.
She is training to be an industrial clerk.
From next year she wants to study business administration at the same time.
In an interview with the Tölzer Kurier, she reports on tasks and goals.
Ms. Wallner, how did you end up running as district school representative?
At first I was elected class and school representative.
Even then, I was very astonished about my election victory, as I had never taken on such a task before.
But I was still happy.
As a student representative at the Bad Tölz vocational school, I was able to set up for the office at the previous district debate, and it worked.
Was there a specific reason you could imagine yourself taking on the position?
Not really.
Until this year, as I said, I was never a class representative.
However, in my current class I have good relationships with my classmates and teachers.
I think that is very important.
As a class and student representative, I noticed that I like to stand up for my classmates.
I have a lot of fun and it's a good thing.
As the deputy district student representative, of course, you have even more influence, which I would now like to use.
How is your new position compatible with the school and your training company?
In principle, there are two district debate meetings per year.
The last one was held online.
On the day itself, however, I didn't have a school, so I didn't need a school-free.
My company even provided me with a laptop so that I can participate.
So I would say that both parties are very accommodating to me.
So I would be released in an emergency.
What are your tasks as deputy district student representative?
First and foremost, we take proposals from other student representatives and pass them on to the government.
We also have a special WhatsApp group in which everyone can write their concerns.
In this way we are a link to politics.
What are your goals? What would you like to change through your position?
With regard to my own school, I would like to work to ensure that fewer impromptu tasks are allowed to be written per day.
One is currently possible every hour.
However, this is a burden for many students.
Otherwise, I'd just love to bring my classmates' concerns up and make sure they are heard.
