A field commander in the Syrian Arab Army told SANA's correspondent in Deir Ezzor that the operation “took place after combing the desert, adjacent to the international road in Deir Ezzor-Palmyra, where the movements of terrorist remnants between the Shula and Kabajab areas were explored and targeted by the attacking forces' fire to eliminate five terrorists and destroy them / pickup / Four-wheel drive with a heavy machine gun ”.

A group of terrorist remnants deployed in the Deir Ezzor desert attacked several times on buses and cars of civilians and soldiers during the current month, the last of which was the day before yesterday, when a bus carrying soldiers on the Deir Ezzor-Palmyra road in the Al-Malhah-Shula region came under fire from the south of the road from a terrorist group.
