Landmark Day for Israel's Foreign Relations: The Israeli Consul General in Dubai, Ilan Stolman, landed today (Tuesday) in the UAE and opened the Israeli Consulate in Dubai, the largest city in the country and the most populous emirate in the Union.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the main task of the Consulate General will be to develop economic relations between the State of Israel and the Union of Emirates and to promote tourism and aviation relations between the two countries.

It was also stated that Israeli high-tech, with its variety of areas of practice, will occupy a central place in the work of the Israeli Consulate General in Dubai.

Meanwhile, twenty years after the closure of the Israeli embassy in Morocco, Ambassador David Guvrin, who will serve as head of the Israeli embassy in Morocco, arrived in Rabat today.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the establishment of full diplomatic relations with Morocco and the return of Israeli diplomats to Rabat is a holiday for the State of Israel and the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The head of the Ministry of Liaison, David Govrin, and his staff will work to further promote relations in all areas, including everything related to political dialogue, tourism, the economy and cultural relations.

Representations in Morocco and Dubai join the Israeli embassy in Abu Dhabi, which opened earlier this week, as well as the Israeli embassy in Manama, the capital of Bahrain, which has been operating in the country for several weeks.

Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi: "The arrival of the heads of the Israeli missions in Morocco and Dubai completes the first and most important stage of opening new Israeli missions in the region within the framework of the" Abraham Agreements ".

The opening of four new missions by the Foreign Ministry in the Middle East is a living testament to the changes taking place in the region and to the warm peace between us and the countries in the region.

Within six months, we increased the number of official Israeli missions from two missions to 6, which symbolizes more than anything the centrality of the Foreign Ministry in the processes of commercial, economic, strategic and security cooperation between us and our neighboring countries.

"This is an important day for peace and it is an exciting day in the process of implementing the agreements with the United Arab Emirates and Morocco. I congratulate the Israeli teams and wish them success in their important work.
