The Mexican Ministry of Health announced that the death toll from the emerging corona virus in the country has exceeded 150,000.
Agence France-Presse quoted the ministry as saying that the virus has killed 659 people during the past 24 hours, while 8,521 new infections were recorded, bringing the total number of people infected with the virus in this country to 1771740 people.
Mexico is the fourth country in the world in terms of deaths resulting from the pandemic, as last Thursday it recorded two daily records in terms of injuries and deaths, which amounted to 1803 deaths and 22,339 injuries.
