Look, let's face it, culinary is not in its heyday, to say the least.
The restaurants have closed and the chefs have not seen the faces of people who have not worn blue or orange for almost a year.
Some of the chefs have moved to work from home, some have no energy even for that and they just sit at home and mourn their bitter fate.
Therefore, even those who have chosen to be creative and create from scratch a home-made food preparation business are commendable first of all, even before we have tasted it, and it does not matter if it is a concept that many visitors consider to be plowing.
Yes, we are talking to you, people who are tired of the "challah-matbucha-spicy-eggplant-schnitzel" combination of Friday, the cubes, the stuffed ones that are reminiscent of the house and everything that goes with it.
It has a simple answer, it is delicious food, even if we eat it every day it will probably not get tired.
It's challah, (you stand in line for two hours for challah every Friday), it's stuffed (you all become foodie imitators on Instagram and make it) and there's nothing to talk about schnitzel or coba.
This time we met "King of the Pots", a business that is run by two Jerusalem childhood friends, now from Ramat Gan, who each come from a different niche in the world of food.
Air Adar, 31, is self-employed in the food industry.
Shmulik Ben Hamo, his partner, also 31 years old, worked until recently as a chef at Chef Meir Adoni's Blue Sky restaurant.
"The Corona period made us go back to our roots, grandmother and the city where we grew up - Jerusalem," they say.
That's how the King of Pots was born, a joint venture of two childhood friends from Jerusalem with big dreams who want to eat the city. "
And what are those big dreams of each of them?
His brother-in-law wants to return to the elite kitchens where he worked and reach the highest possible level.
Air is waiting for the corona to run out to open the deli he has always dreamed of.
Meanwhile, the two work together and sell stuffed animals, cubes and even schnitzels.
The menu of the king of pots is not that long and yet you will find everything you need for a classic Shabbat meal.
In the double Shabbat package, which costs NIS 290, there are two Cuban dishes, a pound of stuffed, chickpeas and homemade cuisine, two dishes of rice with noodles, hot peppers, two small challahs and crispy schnitzel.
There is also a pack of friends that includes additional dishes and is suitable for a quantity of four people.
