The activities of the 112th edition of the monthly shopping festival (Made in Syria) kicked off this evening with the participation of more than 135 national industrial companies at the Al-Galaa Sports Hall in Damascus.

Participants in the festival, which is organized by the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside, and will continue until February 2 next year, will offer a wide variety of food products, clothes, shoes, detergents and all family supplies.

Assistant Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Jamal Shuaib, explained in a statement to reporters that the festival meets the citizens' requirements of high-quality products at an affordable price, noting the role of the Damascus Chamber of Industry in establishing these events continuously to facilitate the promotion of national products and help local companies to market them on the one hand and contribute to breaking the intermediate links and delivering the goods From producer to consumer.

Shuaib pointed out the advantages that the Chamber of Industry provides to the participants in the festival, such as reducing subscription values, free services, and reducing costs for the industrial, which is reflected in achieving a reduction in prices and providing the Syrian product through high quality and the most appropriate price to the consumer.

In turn, the director of the Syrian Trade Corporation, Ahmed Najm, confirmed that the festival is one of the important initiatives through which the Chamber of Industry seeks to have a positive impact on the market, pointing out that its importance lies in being a non-profit activity that introduces goods from the producer to the consumer without the interference of intermediary circles, which contributes to reducing prices.

Member of the Board of Directors of the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its Countryside and Chairman of the Organizing Committee Talal Qala Ji said in a statement to SANA that the committee is keen to maintain a distinctive image of the economic activities it holds, especially the activities close to the citizen, such as the monthly shopping festival, which has become a registered trademark in which all meanings of benefit to the citizen are summarized. In terms of shopping, entertainment and other matters that the citizen finds all in one place, considering that the Chamber of Industry has given a model for social and economic initiatives on which to base its activities, especially the shopping festivals that have begun to spread in Syrian cities and governorates.

In a similar statement, the festival's supervisor, Muhammad Omar, said, “There are participants from all governorates and companies committed to setting an appropriate price that clarifies the difference from the external market price,” pointing to what the Chamber of Industry offers throughout the festival sessions of free purchase vouchers for families of martyrs in addition to gold medals for visitors, raffles and prizes Of the participating companies.
