Yuriy, victim of cowardly aggressors who came in large numbers, was he involved in a vendetta phenomenon?
This is the question that the investigators want to answer, still hard at work in the case to find those responsible for his attack on January 15, in the Beaugrenelle district in Paris.

The teenager continues this Tuesday his gradual awakening and his fight for his health.

This Tuesday, Yuriy is due to undergo eye surgery.
According to family accounts, the teenager was very moved by the many testimonies of support for him, especially from his football idols like Antoine Griezmann.
Omar Sy and other personalities have shown their support.
His amateur football club, in Boulogne, also posted a photo in which the young players form a Y, in support of Yuriy.
His football mates formed a "Y" to support Yuriy.

• The investigation is moving towards a settling of accounts
Eleven days after the events, no arrest has yet been made as part of the investigation, opened by the Paris prosecutor's office for attempted murder in a group.
But the 3rd Judicial Police District is advancing "
as quickly as possible
" according to certain sources, which underline the risk of new violent fights between gangs.
Concerning the attackers, a priori from Vanves, the identifications are still ongoing at the present time.
Various alleged photos of the attackers are also circulating on social networks, but have not yet been authenticated.
According to sources close to the
Figaro
survey
, there is a great deal of evidence pointing research towards settling scores between gangs of young people.
A group based in Beaugrenelle would have previously attacked members of that of Vanves.
These young people from the 15th arrondissement would form a band historically founded around the rue des Quatre Frères Peignot, hence its supposed code name, "
RD4
".
This first confrontation would have motivated the punitive expedition of the rival gang, responsible for the lynching of Yuriy.
The phenomena relating to the "
RD4
" band observed in the past generally did not go beyond petty drug trafficking, so the reasons for the attack are still unclear, the sources specify.
Likewise, the young people affiliated to “RD4” would have very different profiles, coming from many areas of the district, and with different social backgrounds and motivations.
Nevertheless, weapons by destination, attributed to the gang, have already been found on the Beaugrenelle slab.
Did Yuriy belong to "RD4", or one of its offshoots?
There is evidence for investigators to think so, even if caution is required.
In addition, his pseudonym on Instagram includes the initials "
4fp
", which could suggest links.
Relations with certain members of his football club in Boulogne are also being studied.
Friday January 15, Yuriy would have left his college at 3 p.m., his course remaining unknown until the attack around 6 p.m.

In addition, another administrative investigation was opened in the hands of the General Inspectorate of the National Police, to find out the circumstances of the publication of the video of Yuriy's aggression.
This would come from the video protection plan of the Paris Police Prefecture.

Since 2010, a band plan monitoring unit (CPSB) has been active at the Police Prefecture.
A local delinquency treatment group also exists, bringing together the police, town halls and various educational services.
According to figures published by AFP, clashes between gangs left six dead in 2017 and 2018. The last death dates back to last November, an 18-year-old falling during a brawl between young people from Saint-Ouen and Clignancourt.
Six people have since been imprisoned, two of them minors.
