Charlie Dalin (Apivia) is the first skipper to cross the finish line of the 2020-2021 edition of the Vendée Globe.
After 80 days, 6 hours, 15 minutes and 47 seconds, the sailor came out on top at Les Sables d'Olonnes without being sure of having won the event.
His pursuers should cross the line in the coming hours, during the night, and two of them have bonuses after being diverted for the rescue of Kevin Escoffier in December.
Boris Hermann (Seaexplorer-Yacht Club de Monaco), currently third, will benefit from a six-hour bonus and Yannick Bestaven (currently 5th on Maître Coq IV) will see his time reduced by 10:15.
For the moment, projections give this last winner at the end of the very tight game of bonuses.
