The Syrian student Yazan Muhanna ranked first in the national competition for debates and debates organized by Crest University in India, in which hundreds of Indian and foreign students participated.

The competition dealt with “Online Education Around the World and Indian Women in Education, Labor Market and Sustainable Development” and other topics and was conducted in several rounds in each of which the number of students is filtered and the time allowed to answer questions is reduced.

The last debate in the competition lasted for about five hours, and was directed by international debate arbitrator Dr. Hardik Yudishi, professor specializing in phonology, tribal literature and communication skills.

Muhanna, who studies civil engineering at the Indian University of Marwadi, confirmed in an interview with a SANA reporter his determination to pursue his studies and return to serve his country.
