The funeral of actress Nathalie Delon, who died of cancer on January 21 at the age of 79, took place in private Tuesday, January 26 in Paris, her son Anthony Delon told AFP on Wednesday.

"A mass was celebrated in the church of Saint-Germain-des-Prés yesterday in complete privacy in the presence of his family and relatives,"
said the son of the actress, indicating that his father, actor Alain Delon, 85, was not present.
"He is very distressed,"
said his son, also arguing the health situation to explain his absence.
Alain Delon had
told
AFP of his sorrow, stressing that
"Nathalie was (his) first wife and the only Mrs. Delon"
.
“I was part of her life, she was part of mine.
We were still together at Christmas, ”
added the actor.
