Elements of the Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Directorate in Rif Dimashq closed a fuel station and organized 66 arrests of bakeries and commercial events for their owners' perpetration of violations related to refraining from selling and selling at an extra price and not showing purchase invoices.
According to a statement obtained by Sanaa, a copy of which was obtained by the Directorate, the directorate’s personnel closed a fuel station in al-Qatifah due to the absence of a measuring skewer and a fuel tank in al-Sabina, in violation of refraining from selling and selling at an excessive price. It also organized an arrest against a fuel station in Ashrafieh Sahnaya and against a diesel distributor in Sayeda Zainab, in violation of charging an increase in prices.
The seizures also included a supply bakery in Harna due to poor bread making, another in Beit Saham for disposing of five bags of food flour, a bakery in Ras al-Maarrah for lack of weight, and a bakery Hafir Fawaa for charging an increase in prices, and a bread agent in Al-Rahiba who trades in bread.
The Directorate's personnel seized expired materials for adhesive in ceramic and sanitary ware stores in Al-Kiswah, and regulated controls not to announce prices, not to show purchase invoices, and to show irregular invoices.
According to the figures of the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, the closure of commercial activities carried out by its directorates in the governorates last year exceeded 9 thousand closures and judicial seizures, 52.4 thousand seizures.
