The service departments' workshops in Deir Ezzor governorate began implementing a project to rehabilitate the main road adjacent to the Euphrates River, which was affected by terrorism, and extending from the Globe Roundabout in the Al-Joura neighborhood to Hawija Sakr in the city of Deir Ezzor.
A member of the governorate's executive office, Eng. Ziyad Al-Kadhim, said in a statement to SANA's correspondent today that this road is an important artery in the city, as it connects the eastern and western neighborhoods in it on one side and the city and its northern countryside on the other side, with a length of about 5 km in two directions.
Al-Kazim indicated that the works that are being carried out by a number of service departments' workshops, such as the Directorate of Agriculture and Technical Services, include maintenance of central islands, sidewalks, road bodies, tree pruning and lighting.
In turn, the assistant of the Department of Forestry in the Directorate of Agriculture in Deir Ezzor, the engineer Rasha Haj Obeid, explained that the directorate's workshops are working on cleaning the middle islands, trimming the trees in the bays on both sides of the road, and planting areas affected by terrorism with seed palm trees.
